Current Events

Romero's little seen Night of the Living Dead (1968) follow-up, as they return to the Braddock, Pennsylvania locations where Martin was shot to reflect on the film's creation. It was produced as part of Second Sight's exhaustive 4K restoration of Martin.

Previously

Michael was glad to have a distraction during lockdown, once more enlisted as Co-Producer & Editor on what would eventually become another feature-length filmmaking documentary, Tales of the Uncanny: The Ultimate Survey of Anthology Horror which explores the history and enduring appeal of the much loved sub-genre.

Initially conceived as a supplement to Severin Film's The Theatre Bizarre, the project took on an ambitious life of its own as lockdown protocols made a worldwide audience of genre film luminaries suddenly available via Zoom.

Co-hosted by producer Kier-La Janisse (Woodlands Dark and Days Bewitched: A History of Folk Horror) with producer director David Gregory (Lost SoulPlague Town) Tales of the Uncanny features over 60 horror luminaries, including Roger Corman, Joe Dante, Tom Savini, Mick Garris, Eli Roth, Heather Buckley, Larry Fessenden, Ernest Dickerson, Richard Stanley, Rebekah McKendry and Brian Yuzna in a candid discussion of such classics as Dead of Night, Tales from the Crypt, Creepshow, Trilogy of Terror and many more.

Tales... marked Michael's third collaboration with Director & Producer David Gregory which began on the acclaimed documentary Blood & Flesh: The Reel Life & Ghastly Death of Al Adamson which premiered at Fantasia in 2019.

The 'Shocking Beyond Belief!' story truly struck a nerve with both audiences & programmers, featuring in a plethora of film festivals throughout the year, including Lisbon's Motel X, Brooklyn Horror & Beyond Fest.

Blood... garnered international press, rave reviews and multiple nominations, including a Fangoria Chainsaw Award (beat by Joe Bob!) and one for a Rondo as Best Documentary. It went on to a long, exclusive run on SHUDDER.

Both were produced for Second Sight's exhaustive 4K restoration of Dawn.
